Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Education Support Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' Primary school in the UK. As a key member of the school community, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children aged 4-11.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver high-quality education and support the needs of individual pupils.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, including literacy and numeracy intervention groups.
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group work to help children develop skills and confidence in their abilities.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop effective strategies for supporting pupils with varying needs.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or higher qualification in a relevant field.
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a school or other childcare setting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children aged 4-11 and their teachers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the school and its pupils.
