About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sainsbury's as a Strategic Sourcing Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in driving our Next Level corporate strategy. As a key member of our team, you will lead complex cross-functional projects that span both our branded and own-brand supply bases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse the value chain of our own-brand products, from farm to store, to inform strategic sourcing decisions and identify opportunities for mutual benefit with our suppliers.
  • Manage the branded supplier investment process to deliver cost of goods reduction and introduce exciting new propositions in our stores.
  • Act as an ambassador for our corporate objectives, providing support and challenge to the trading teams and ensuring aligned decision-making through Steering Groups comprised of Category Directors and cross-functional leaders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project and programme management, with a strong strategic mindset and the ability to analyse data to generate compelling insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Natural leadership style and excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build credibility with colleagues and drive aligned decision-making.
  • Commercial acumen and collaborative approach, contributing to delivering cost reductions, exciting new propositions, and improved margin performance.
