Job Title: Plant Layout Engineer

Framatome is a leading international company in the nuclear energy sector, recognized for its innovative solutions and value-added technologies. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Plant Layout Engineer to join our team in the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various activities related to the layout engineering of nuclear power plants. This will include treating input data, improving and modifying design aspects, routing mechanical and electrical equipment, and ensuring consistency between process and instrumentation diagrams and 3D models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treatment of input data for layout engineering, including process and instrumentation diagrams, equipment data, cable lists, and electrical load lists.
  • Layout engineering to improve and modify design aspects, including implementation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Routing design pipes, HVAC ducts, and electrical cable trays in 3D models, supported by a dedicated CAD team.
  • Ensuring consistency between process and instrumentation diagrams and 3D models.
  • Production of technical documents, including progress reports, status reports, equipment introduction notes, change impact analyses, and design procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience in one or several areas of engineering, including piping engineering, mechanical, HVAC, and safety.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of general layout rules for industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of general operation of a nuclear power station and associated safety aspects.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Previous nuclear industry experience and experience working with 3D design software.
