About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Consultant to join our team at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing our existing radiology service, with a focus on general radiology and cross-sectional imaging.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology, with experience in subspecialties such as Uro Radiology, Gynae radiology, Paediatric Radiology, and MSK Radiology. They will also be able to take part in training and supervision of junior radiologists and contribute to the development of our radiology service.

Main Duties
  • Provide high-quality radiology services to patients across our trust
  • Develop and maintain our radiology service, including subspecialties
  • Supervise and train junior radiologists
  • Contribute to the development of our radiology service

Person Specification
  • Entry on the Specialist Register in Clinical Radiology (or entry expected within 6 months from the date of interview)
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining CCT in Clinical Radiology
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the management of acute medical emergencies
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the care of patients
