Job Overview: As an Early Help and Guidance Practitioner, you will work with children and young people who are at risk of offending, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to make positive life choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify young people's needs, utilizing screening tools and collaborating with schools, social services, and community organizations.
  • Intervention Planning: Develop personalized intervention plans based on assessment findings, addressing specific needs such as family issues, educational challenges, or mental health concerns.
  • Community Partnership: Engage with community resources and organizations to provide additional support and opportunities for youth, promoting positive activities and involvement in community initiatives.
  • Education and Awareness: Educate at-risk youth about the consequences of criminal behavior and the benefits of staying on a positive path, raising awareness among peers and the community about the importance of early intervention and support.

Essential Skills: Empathy and compassion, ability to build trust and rapport with young people and their families, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of youth-related issues.

Compensation: £25/hour
