Maintenance Technologist

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at Gen Tech Recruitment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production machinery and electrical systems within the facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all electrical systems, production machinery, and equipment within the facility.
2. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve both electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, and other equipment.
3. Equipment Maintenance: Take full responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of all production machinery, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely.
4. External Coordination: Liaise with external technicians and contractors when specialised support or repairs are needed, coordinating their work to minimise production disruptions.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician with a recognized electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Additional certifications in mechanical maintenance, multi-skilled engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within the food production sector.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for both electrical and mechanical issues.

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum.
