About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic and supportive team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, treat, and perform surgery on animals
  • Consult with clients and provide expert advice on animal care and welfare
  • Work collaboratively with our experienced veterinary team to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary techniques and best practices

About Us

We are a well-established RCVS accredited practice, located in Aberdeen and serving the surrounding areas. Our team consists of experienced vets, RVNs, and support staff, who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and a supportive work environment.

Requirements
  • RCVS Registration: Must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
  • Veterinary Degree: A degree in Veterinary Medicine or Surgery from an RCVS-approved institution
  • English Language Proficiency: Adequate English skills, often proven via an IELTS/TOEFL test, if your degree was not taught in English
  • Right to Work in the UK: Appropriate visa or work permit, such as the Skilled Worker Visa
  • Full Driving Licence: Often required for roles involving travel between practices or client visits
  • Clinical Experience: Experience in diagnosing, treating, and performing surgery on animals
  • Competence in Communication: Effective communication skills with clients and team members
  • Animal Welfare Focus: Commitment to the highest standards of animal care and welfare
