Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Drivers Assistant to join our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the delivery driver in parking and maneuvering a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required
  • Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
  • Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner
  • Work as a part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on a multidrop basis – an average of 16 drops per day off-peak and 24 drops per day in peak season

Requirements:

  • Experience of dealing with multi-drop home delivery preferred but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting, and pushing
  • Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving
  • Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
  • Be prepared to commute to New Malden (KT3 4PT) for the required shift pattern
