Reader in Data Science

We are seeking an exceptional and ambitious individual to join our team as a Reader in Data Science at the University of Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be part of the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences, a large interdisciplinary centre for education, research, and enterprise.

About the Role

The Reader in Data Science will be responsible for leading, driving, and advancing our research and knowledge exchange activities in Data Science. This will involve producing REF-returnable outputs, attracting external income, seeking industrial collaborations, undertaking some teaching, and supervising PhD students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in Data Science and produce high-quality outputs
  • Attract external funding and collaborate with industry partners
  • Teach and supervise PhD students
  • Contribute to the development of the School's research strategy
Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a field related to Computer Science or Data Science and have extensive research experience in the area. They will be proficient in a range of subject-specific skills and have a track record of securing external funding and collaborating with industry partners.
