About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial planning and analysis expert to join our commercial finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and commercial finance, with a proven track record of delivering insights that support business units to improve performance. The role will be pivotal in providing financial insights and analysis to support the business in achieving ambitious revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide financial insights and analysis to support the business in achieving ambitious revenue and growth targets
  2. Produce financial reports for Steering Groups, Executive Committees and the Board, ensuring accuracy in information, identifying areas of financial risk, and generating actionable business insights to non-finance stakeholders
  3. Oversee revenue and cost forecasting, highlighting key drivers of variance impacting business performance and identifying areas of opportunity to improve performance
  4. Monitor and report on key business metrics and performance, while owning the business KPI reporting to provide comprehensive analysis and updates on performance indicators
  5. Build, develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making
  6. Lead the annual budgets and mid-year forecasting process with each of CF's business practices

Requirements

  • Proven background in financial planning and delivering insights that support business units to improve performance
  • High proficiency in financial modelling and Excel, including advanced functions
  • Experience working closely with fee earners within professional services
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset with the ability to influence decisions and improve business performance
  • CIMA/ ACCA qualified, or with sufficient experience in financial business partnering, to understand technical financial concepts
