Salary Information- Pay rate: £22.68 - £46.70 per hour (dependent on experience and shift pattern)
We are currently seeking skilled fitters to work on an ongoing contract at our client's Western Approach site. The successful candidates will be involved in assembling aircraft main wing assemblies and sub-assemblies from detail parts, using appropriate assembly techniques, tools, and fixtures.
The job requires:
- Drilling, reaming, and countersinking of composite and metallic components
- Setting aircraft components in calibrated build jigs
- Deburring and under-head radius of aircraft components and assemblies
- Participating fully in local continuous improvement activities
Candidates must have a minimum 3 years' relevant trade experience assembling aircraft components using drawings and processes, as well as a working knowledge of IT systems including SAP and Microsoft packages.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Ability to operate CNC machines and processes as required
- Working knowledge of IT systems including SAP and Microsoft packages
Beneficial but not essential qualifications include those related to aerospace manufacturing.
