Teaching Assistant/HLTA Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/HLTA to join our Alternative Provision in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of PSHE and Art lessons to vulnerable young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver small group lessons to students in Key Stages 4 and 5
  • Support teachers in PSHE and Art
  • Work with students who have challenging behaviors
  • Contribute to the development of bespoke curriculum's and supported work experience

About the Role:

This is a full-time, on-going contract with the opportunity to become permanent. Our Alternative Provision is set up in Southampton City Centre and provides a unique environment for students to access academic and vocational qualifications. We are committed to preparing students for employment and adulthood pathways through our tailored approach.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with young people and has a genuine interest in PSHE and Art. Experience working with children in any capacity is desirable, but not essential. If you are confident, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with young people, we encourage you to apply.
