**Job Title:** Technical Waterproofing Designer

**Company Overview:** We are Spencer & James Limited, a well-established family-run multidisciplinary Main Contractor. We seek a talented **Technical Waterproofing Designer** to contribute to large-scale waterproofing projects across London.

**Estimated Salary:** £30,000 - £45,000 (Basic Salary) per year based on industry standards and location considerations.

**Job Description:*

  • Design Coordination: Ensure compliant designs, manage design risks, and provide value-driven solutions to minimize rejections and delays.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with teams during tender stages, create pre-construction design programs, and manage Contractors Proposals production.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with design consultants, statutory bodies, and the supply chain to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.
  • Construction Collaboration: Oversee design during construction, manage changes, and ensure timely delivery in line with schedules and budgets.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct audits, secure client approvals, and maintain consistency between design intent and construction outcomes.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:*

  • At least 2+ years of experience in a technical design role, focusing on roofing, waterproofing, or façade/cladding projects with a Main Contractor.
  • HNC/Degree in Construction or an Architectural-related subject.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and awareness of BIM in construction.
