We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst - Graduate to join our team at Checkout Group. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working closely with our Business Development, Sales, Risk, and Legal teams to drive business growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth business model analysis to evaluate the financial health and viability of our enterprise customers.
- Perform financial analysis of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with our Compliance team to conduct due diligence checks and analysis on high-risk applications.
- Underwrite high-risk lines of business, including travel, furniture, ticketing, and securities, to ensure compliance with our internal policies and guidelines.
- Prepare detailed written summaries and oral presentations to assess micro and macro risks, and provide recommendations to our management and Credit Risk Committee.
- Work closely with our Sales and Account Management teams to represent Underwriting in customer calls and meetings.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar underwriting or payments role, or recent strong graduate with a degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and work as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong understanding of financial statements and analysis.
