About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Critical Systems team at Cundall. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions on large-scale data centre projects.

You will collaborate with our team of experts to drive and manage the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects. Your expertise will be essential in managing the design process, producing design deliverables, and monitoring budgets and programme.

We are looking for a Chartered Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, who has gained significant experience in electrical engineering roles within the critical systems/data centres sector. You will have a proven track record of managing small to medium-scale projects and teams of engineers to deliver to and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design process and produce high-quality design deliverables
  • Monitor budgets and programme, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive and manage the delivery of projects
  • Develop and motivate less experienced engineers
  • Support senior staff within the team
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Significant experience in electrical engineering roles within the critical systems/data centres sector
  • Proven track record of managing small to medium-scale projects and teams of engineers
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to think critically and guide the team towards solutions
