Chief Financial Strategist

**Company Overview:**

Our client, a leading media and events company, is expanding its finance team. As part of their growth plans, they seek a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their financial department.

The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller and have exposure to senior decision-makers across the business. This newly created role will play a key part in managing the day-to-day activities of the finance department and contributing to the company's success.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with sales, marketing, and operational teams to provide management information, analysis, and commentary to non-accountants.
• Review and approve weekly/monthly payment runs prepared by the Accounts Assistant.
• Prepare statutory accounts for stand-alone trading companies.
• Provide information and liaise with external auditors for year-end audits, account finalization, and tax returns.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis, identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize financial performance while maintaining quality standards.
• Review systems, processes, and controls to identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency within the finance department.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a finance role demonstrating staff management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to lead a team and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
