About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Richmond. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to students with SEND, focusing on their social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities to support students' learning and development.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with students with ADHD, SEMH, and associated difficulties is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students' individual needs.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and experience with safeguarding processes.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week (8:30-15:30) term time.
