About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Housing Options Team as a Homelessness Prevention Advisor. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a real difference in the lives of those at risk of homelessness in Torbay.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients, landlords, and other stakeholders to prevent and relieve homelessness. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our clients and colleagues, ensuring a seamless service delivery.

With a strong understanding of UK homelessness legislation and a proven track record of working in a challenging frontline housing service, you will be well-equipped to navigate complex situations and provide creative solutions to our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, landlords, and other stakeholders to prevent and relieve homelessness.
  • Build strong relationships with our clients and colleagues to ensure a seamless service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to develop and implement effective solutions to homelessness.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in UK homelessness legislation and best practices.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills.
