Aeropeople Limited seeks a skilled Electrical Power Systems Specialist to join our team. As a Power Systems Design Lead, you will be responsible for the design of AC & DC power generation and distribution systems, including sizing, protection, control, and the specification of power supplies and converters.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working (2-3 days per week on site) and flexible working hours. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from early stage technology development through to supporting a fleet of in-service systems.

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related subject, and experience in specification or design of electrical power systems, including AC to DC conversion, distribution, regulation, and conditioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design of electrical power systems, including sizing, protection, control, and specification of power supplies and converters.
  2. EMC management and verification.
  3. Specification of bespoke procured hardware and management of associated sub-contractor development programmes.
  4. Design verification using simulation, analysis, and test techniques.
  5. Generate design documentation and technical reports.
