Job Summary:
Optime Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Cardiff Airport. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of millions of passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a visible security presence for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
- Book in and out of all vehicles entering and leaving the site.
- Utilize CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management via telephone and face-to-face interactions.
- Deter theft and other poor working practices.
- Respond to on-site incidents and maintain control until arrival of emergency services or management.
- Highlight breaches of security procedures and internal/external crime.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with queries and creating a welcoming environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Full SIA badge.
- Three years of continuous residency in the UK.
- Positive attitude with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in security or customer service, preferably in an airport environment.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and adhere to security protocols.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends.
- Age 18 or older.
Additional Requirements:
- Five-year checkable history.
