About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Property and Store Visual Image Department at Beaverbrooks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the lead project management of our new head office build project.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supporting the lead project management team in delivering the project from brief to full build
  • Liaising with architects, design agencies, and managing contractors on site to ensure the project meets building regulations and planning requirements
  • Assisting with site surveys and scoping visits as needed
  • Supporting the management of project budget and reviewing project tenders in conjunction with our partnering QS
  • Playing a key role in negotiations with suppliers
  • Supporting the team with the procurement of all assets for projects
  • Using project management programs to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures
  • Issuing all appropriate legal paperwork, including contracts and terms of agreement

Essential Skills
  • Proven passion for project management and project delivery in construction
  • Previous experience on a large-scale build project over £2 million
  • Thorough understanding of current building regulations, CDM regulations, and local authority planning principles
  • Previous experience of working with external suppliers and creative designers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to problem-solve and make things happen with attention to detail
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience of working with project management programs such as Microsoft Planner, Adobe, Sketch-up, and CAD
  • Previous knowledge of BREEAM
  • H&S trained, preferably with an IOSH qualification
  • Formal qualification in building surveying or construction
