Surgical Instrument Sterilization Specialist | Theatres | Private Healthcare Provider | Competitive Compensation | Permanent/Full-Time

At Spire Healthcare Ltd, we are seeking a dedicated Surgical Instrument Sterilization Specialist to become an integral part of our team. This role involves a variety of shifts throughout the week, including days, late shifts, and weekends.

Our Critical Care unit, supported by a multidisciplinary team, ensures comprehensive care for a diverse range of treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with a team of sterilization specialists to ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized.
  • Conducting accurate check-ins of instruments used during surgical procedures.
  • Performing decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
  • Carrying out routine tasks related to the health and safety of the sterile services department.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Possession of a user course in sterile/decontamination services is desirable.
  • Experience in a sterilization or decontamination environment is preferred but not essential.
  • No prior experience is required as comprehensive hands-on training will be provided.
  • Basic educational qualifications.
  • Proficient computer skills along with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to varying environmental conditions.
