Job Title: Kitchen Assistant Part Time

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our residents.
  • Work to scheduled meal plans, ensuring attention to individual dietary requirements.
  • Maintain excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Support at mealtimes, ensuring a positive dining experience for our residents.
  • Respect the choices and preferences of our residents.
  • Check kitchen equipment and report any concerns or faults to the Chef.

Requirements:

  • Experience of cooking for large numbers.
  • A passion for preparing and assisting with cooking of fresh, tasty, homemade food.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in catering and hospitality.
  • 2 years' experience in a catering environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
