The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to provide high-quality customer care in the Emergency Care Department.

About the Role

This dynamic role requires attention to detail and excellent keyboard skills to register patients accurately. Meeting and greeting visitors with dignity and respect, responding accordingly, and ensuring high-quality customer care are key aspects of this position.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for receiving and recording data for new and follow-up attendances, monitoring the Adastra system, and handling inquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration of patients onto the computer system
  • Receiving and accurately recording data for new and follow-up attendances
  • Monitoring the Adastra system for patient arrivals referred by the 111 service
  • Effectively handling all inquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions

The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy, pressurized customer-focused environment, recent work experience within an administration/office setting, and ability to use IT systems in the workplace.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,714 - £31,383 per annum, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
