Duty and Assessment Social Work Professional

About the Job:
This Duty and Assessment Social Work Professional role is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team at CV-Library, responding to urgent referrals and conducting initial assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
Job Description:
- Conduct thorough assessments of referrals to determine the level of intervention required.
- Make decisions about child protection enquiries, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Ensure that all interventions are based on thorough assessments and that decisions are made in the best interests of the child.
- Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota to provide support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registration.
- Relevant social work qualifications (Degree or Diploma level).
- At least 3 years' experience working in children's social work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is £36-£37 per hour, dependent on experience.
