Role Overview:

The Junior Solutions Engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders to design and develop innovative solutions that address complex challenges across THG's global operational network. This role requires a technical expert with experience in automated technologies, such as robotics, AGV/AMR, and ASRS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering feasibility studies and process modeling to evaluate solutions against requestor requirements.
  • Support the creation of engineering standards and specifications for use in engineering projects.
  • Lead feasibility studies for major Capex investments and create standard engineering project proposals and Capex estimates.
  • Develop equipment standards and designs to enable group procurement to obtain standard pricing structures.
  • Provide technical support to project engineers during equipment build-acceptance testing and commissioning.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Robotics Engineering.
  • Demonstrable skills obtained through logistics, e-commerce, and food processing technology projects.
  • Experience in designing and developing engineering projects using automated technologies.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and directives associated with the delivery of automated equipment.
  • External relationships with OEMs and Engineering service organizations.
