We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Director to join our client, a global manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating activities across the European region and delivering strategic Supply Chain change.

The role involves defining, developing, communicating, and executing supply chain strategies, leading multi-functional teams, and coordinating supply, manufacturing, and delivery systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Defining and implementing supply chain strategies
  2. Leading cross-functional teams to achieve supply chain objectives
  3. Coordinating logistics and distribution operations
  4. Developing policies and procedures for Supply Chain and Logistics management
  5. Oversight of Sales and Operations Planning and Scheduling process
  6. Ensuring demand is met through effective supply planning
  7. Implementing best practices through active participation in the SIOP process

This is a pivotal role that requires effective management of relationships with various functions across the business, including Sales & Marketing, Sourcing, Operations and Production Management, Product Management, and New Product Introduction.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Supply Management, Logistics Management, Materials Management, Engineering or a related field
  • APICS qualification preferred
  • Solid experience in complex manufacturing settings, preferably across multiple global manufacturing sites
  • Strong leadership experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics
  • Exceptional people and organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to influence across a matrix organisation

The salary package includes an excellent basic salary, bonus, car allowance, pension scheme, private medical insurance, and 25 days holidays in addition to bank holidays. You can expect to earn around £80,000 - £100,000 per annum.
