Job Title: Risk Lawyer

Join Taylor Root, a top international law firm in London, as we seek a skilled Risk Lawyer to manage and oversee our commercial contracts with suppliers. This role will work closely with other risk lawyers in the team and report to the Director of Risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, Review, and Negotiate Commercial Contracts: Develop and review a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
  • Contract Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and identify and assess potential risks in contracts and procurement activities.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Advise and oversee the legal aspects of our procurement processes, and provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders and teams on contract management and procurement issues.
  • Data Protection and Compliance: Review client terms and proposed amendments to our terms of business, engagement terms, data protection compliance, and update risk policies.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in commercial law, particularly in procurement, and drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Skills: Good understanding of applicable data protection legislation and ability to work in-house for a law firm or professional services firm.
