About the Role

VIVO Defence Services, a joint venture between Serco and EQUANS, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment, including boilers, at RAF Molesworth and RAF Alconbury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair HVAC equipment, including boilers, in accordance with site requirements and legislation.
  • Carry out mechanical installation work on HVAC equipment, water and heating systems, medium and high temperature oil boilers.
  • Inspect and test equipment to detect any issues and conduct fault finding tests.
  • Strip down and clean equipment as required.
  • Complete site records and forms to ensure all maintenance records are kept.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to cover emergency call outs during non-core hours.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds Plumbing Apprenticeship Level 2 Mechanical or an equivalent City & Guilds Mechanical Level 3 with an unvented qualification.
  • Experience working with HVAC mechanical ventilation systems, Legionella awareness and training in maintaining water hygiene.
  • Experience with Oil Fired appliances above 45Kw Output and pressure systems.
  • OFTAC qualification to service high temperature oil boilers.
