We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical builds, stripping, and rebuilding working on mechanical-based equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out mechanical builds, stripping, and rebuilding of equipment
  • Work on mechanical-based equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes
  • Operate workshop machinery, such as bandsaws and lathes
  • Weld and assemble mechanical components
  • Interpret engineering drawings for mechanical assembly
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained or time-served Mechanical Fitter
  • Knowledge of mechanical builds, stripping, and rebuilding
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes
  • Ability to operate workshop machinery and weld
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings
What We Offer:
  • Salary: £30,000 per annum
  • Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
  • Permanent position
  • 25 days' annual leave plus statutory holidays
