We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Carpenter to join our dynamic team at Ateca. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine carpentry, with expertise in crafting, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures on marine vessels.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute precise measurements, cutting, shaping, and installation of wooden components for marine structures.
  • Repair and maintain existing wooden structures, decks, cabins, and other marine fixtures.
  • Knowledgeable in selecting appropriate wood materials for marine environments, considering durability and resistance to water damage.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of carpentry tasks.
  • Collaborate with other marine professionals, including engineers and designers, to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work with overall vessel design and functionality.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship to ensure the longevity and safety of marine structures.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Marine Carpenter, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
  • Must have a previous track record of working with yachts.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine carpentry techniques, wood properties, and finishes.
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
