Mixed Tax Semi Senior Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and career-driven Mixed Tax Semi Senior Accountant to join our dynamic tax team at a thriving regional firm of accountants in Malvern.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with some UK practice experience who is keen to niche into the area of tax. You will have some mixed tax skills already but be excited to develop more. You might be ATT, ACCA or ACA qualified or studying and perhaps you're keen to get stuck in your CTA exams in time?

We are looking for a candidate who is eager to progress within a supportive and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on professional development and fully funded study support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a senior team with the oversight of a varied tax portfolio.
  • Personal tax computations.
  • Corporation tax computations.
  • Liaising with HMRC.
  • Preparation of VAT submissions
  • UK tax arrival and departure briefings.
  • Liaise directly with clients, building good rapport and handling queries
  • Work closely with the senior management team, including supporting Partners with projects
  • Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Champion your own professional development, learning from an experienced team
Requirements:
  • AAT, ATT, ACCA or ACA qualified, part qualified, or planning to study in the near future.
  • Previous experience supporting clients within practice.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Multi-tasker with great time management and a can-do attitude to problem-solving.
  • Organised and able to manage own workload effectively.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Confident working alongside senior management.
  • Motivated and able to inspire others.
  • Collaborative and creative.
