About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Solicitor to join our esteemed Contentious Probate team at Shakespeare Martineau. As a Senior Contentious Probate Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional legal services to clients across contentious trusts and probate matters.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience dealing with contentious trusts and probate cases. You will be expected to assist senior colleagues on complex cases, run your own caseload efficiently, and advise clients on the strengths and weaknesses of their cases.

You will also be responsible for handling a diverse range of matters, from less-complex to complex cases, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines. In addition, you will contribute to business development activities, attend client meetings, and draft court documents in a timely manner.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience dealing with contentious trusts and probate matters
  • Experience in dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Strong IT skills
  • Proven ability to be flexible and innovative in finding solutions to complex problems
