Job Title: Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at People Group Limited. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing high-value residential projects, ensuring precise financial oversight and control.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Efficiently oversee multiple projects, ensuring tight control over variations and their financial implications.
  2. Financial Oversight: Lead the preparation of valuations and final accounts, managing subcontract orders, and ensuring compliance with budgets.
  3. Reporting: Prepare and present job cost analysis, report budget exceedances, and communicate project impacts.
  4. Site Liaison: Regularly visit sites, liaise with site and divisional managers, and ensure effective communication regarding variations and project performance.
  5. Administrative Duties: Format valuations and final accounts, ensure accurate VAT assessments, and handle the timely collection of retentions.
Requirements:
  1. Work Authorization: Right to Work in the UK
  2. License: Full UK Driving Licence
  3. Qualifications: HNC in Construction or a relevant Degree
  4. Experience: Knowledge of private residential building contracting, and awareness of property taxation matters and contractual law
  5. Skills: Technical understanding of both traditional and modern building methods; Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate Excel skills; Strong numeracy, financial management, and clear communication skills
