Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport SAP Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Eastlands Freight team, you will be responsible for controlling the flow of EU/UK inbound vehicles, updating SAP with Day 0 updates, and liaising with R&FU teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control the flow of EU/UK inbound vehicles, both direct and from the Staging Location.
  • Update SAP with Day 0 updates, including delays, cancellations, and NTCs for Direct Deliveries and B to C deliveries from staging location.
  • Liaise with R&FU teams to prioritize deliveries during peak periods.
  • Chase up EU/UK Ops teams for updates on late deliveries to Staging Location.
  • Book additional slots for extra deliveries and cancel slots for collections not required.
  • Control, maintain, and arrange dock slots as per the dock plan and operational requirements.
  • Maintain and coordinate deliveries into Halewood for both Direct and B to C from Staging Location.
  • Update SAP with DAY 0 amendments, including additional, cancellations, or any other amendments.
  • Create TU with Trailer ID and assign TU to appointment.
  • Identify, solve, and report operational inconsistencies, problems, and delays, and escalate to senior management as necessary.
  • Adhere to company rules, regulations, and legislation relating to occupational health and safety, the environment, and risk management.
Desirable Skills
  • EU/UK Automotive operational experience.
  • SAP Awareness.
  • Good degree of computer literacy, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and logical thinking.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Technical aptitude in the use of a variety of supporting software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong and effective organizational skills.
  • Able to demonstrate previous examples of solution innovation.
  • Demonstrable experience of a high standard of commercial awareness and understanding of key costs and drivers within the supply chain.
