About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mealtimes Volunteer. As a key member of our Outpatients and Discharge Lounge Clinics team, you will play a vital role in providing a warm welcome and support to patients and visitors attending appointments at our Weston General Hospital site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a friendly welcome to patients and visitors to the clinic, ensuring they feel at ease and supported throughout their visit.
  • Update patients with waiting times, keeping them informed and reducing anxiety.
  • Signpost patients to other support and services as required, demonstrating a commitment to their overall well-being.
  • Restock resources, such as cups, leaflets, and activity packs, to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Keep patients company, engaging in conversation and utilizing resources where available, to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Provide light refreshments, where agreed with the Trust Division, to enhance the patient experience.
