Job Information

At Mitie, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Caretaker to join our team. As a key member of our site team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing exceptional support to our clients, and contributing to a safe and healthy work environment.

Main Duties

• Enhanced DBS
• Key holder - given responsibility for site security such as opening up and closing. Being a key holder you agree to become a first responder if the alarm sounds out of hours.
• General Maintenance
• Able to work individually and part of a team.
• Possible overtime available.
• Training provided from IT skills to using the quad.
• PASMA and IPAF a plus but not essential as training will be provided
• Legionella training to help with the flushing of the site
• Helping the site team complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly and yearly PPM's
• Litter picking after breaks as part of a team
• Painting/small plumbing jobs throughout the year
• Hazard spotting and risk assessing the site daily to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Ensure the helpdesk tasks are completed within time and to a reasonable standard

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is proactive and not reactive. Able to add that extra bit of knowledge to the team to help the team grow and look after the site on a day to day basis. Someone who is punctual and can work under pressure but can enjoy the lighter days too.
