About the Role:
Ultra is seeking a skilled Category Sourcing Lead to join its Supply Chain Function, reporting directly to the Head of Sourcing and Resilience. This role is responsible for leading a commodity, delivering world-class procurement capabilities, and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure maximum value for all money spent with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a category strategy aligned with business requirements.
- Establish and implement long-term agreements ensuring full compliance with company terms.
- Create and deliver commodity strategies, incorporating favorable payment terms, buffer inventory, and supplier partnerships.
- Reduce supplier base by category by 20% and ensure suppliers are of the correct size and exhibit expected behaviors and product output.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with single-sourced parts.
- Lead supplier cost reduction workshops to achieve year-on-year savings.
- Ensure suppliers have the ability to meet their commitments through production readiness reviews and capacity plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
- CIPS Level 5+ preferable.
- Strategic sourcing experience and demonstrated achievements.
- Developed and implemented supply chain strategies.
- Demonstrated supplier development and supplier management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Advanced commercial acumen.
Security Clearance:
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a S security clearance.
