Linux Kernel Development Specialist

Techruiter is a cutting-edge electronic and quantitative trading company dedicated to delivering innovative financial solutions through technology. We're seeking an experienced Linux Kernel Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performance trading systems.
Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Linux kernel, modules, and associated infrastructure, working closely with our global engineering team to resolve complex issues and optimize system performance.
- Develop and maintain Linux kernel components, ensuring high-quality code and efficient execution.
- Analyze and resolve complex system software issues, collaborating with the team to identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Test and validate system integrity, designs, applications, and processes, making improvements as necessary.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $220,000 per annum
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Significant experience in Linux kernel development, with a strong understanding of kernel internals, device drivers, and system-level programming.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash, and a good understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of C and C++ programming languages, with familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review techniques.
- Good understanding of networking protocols is highly desirable.
