About the Role

We are seeking an experienced District Nurse Team Lead to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to our district nursing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the district nursing team, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and services, in line with the trust's objectives.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Lead and facilitate educational programs for basic, post-basic, and in-service training, in close liaison with the Learning and Development Team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies, ensuring evidence-based practice.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and comprehensive records, adhering to trust procedures and standards.
  • Participate in research and development opportunities, promoting innovative and patient-focused practice.

Person Specification

  • 1st level registration educated to Level 3.
  • Relevant specialist courses and experience in nurse leadership and management.
  • Experience of appraisal and clinical supervision, with a focus on staff development and support.
  • Ability to assess and deliver, evaluate and benchmark quality care, with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and agencies.
  • IT skills and timely data entry, with a focus on maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
