We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal/Home Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support for our daughter, who has Lissencephaly (smooth brain syndrome). Our daughter is a young lady with a love for music and hats, and we require someone who is fun-loving, with a good sense of humour and flexibility to wear multiple hats at once.

Our daughter's symptoms may include difficulty swallowing, failure to thrive, muscle spasms, seizures, and severe global developmental delay. She requires diligent 24-hour care to ensure her oxygen mask is on when sleeping, and as Personal/Home Care Assistant, you will need to support her in all aspects of life, from personal care and domestic tasks to accessing social activities.

You will receive:

  • £11.37 per hour
  • A pension if eligible
  • 5.6 weeks per year pro rata annual leave
  • Full certificated training on all aspects of the role

Hours available:

  • 30 hours per week
  • Opportunity to work additional hours on occasions in relation to holidays and sickness

What's Required:

  • Provide assistance with all aspects of personal care, bathing, washing hair, and dressing
  • A full driving licence is desirable
  • Flexibility in working hours essential, night shifts may also be required
  • Weekend work essential
  • Daily support with use and care of equipment
  • An enhanced DBS check, the cost will be met by the Employer
