About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaning Assistant to join our team at Medirest. As a key member of our cleaning services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas, ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe for visitors.
  • Ensuring rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full, adhering to hospital standards and policies.
  • Maintaining high hospital standards by ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe for visitors, following required policies and procedures.
  • Using equipment in accordance with the role, following all Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff, demonstrating a passion for patient care.
  • Working under pressure, individually and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
  • Confidently working in a hospital environment, aware of the potential for contact with patients who may be unwell or showing signs of distress.
  • Taking pride in your work, with a willingness to learn and go the extra mile for our patients.
  • Subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check, costs met by the employer.
