Architectural Metalwork Design Specialist

With 2-3 years of experience in architectural metalwork design, sheet metalwork or joinery design, you will have the opportunity to work with a well-established fabrications company that supplies high-quality architectural finishes to various industries. This role is 60% design-oriented and 40% project management, with no progression restrictions.
The ideal candidate will be committed and ambitious, able to understand the company's market and develop existing relationships with clients and architects. Regular London site visits and meetings are required, but this role is not desk-bound.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own CAD workload
- Work with the fabrication team to overcome key design issues
- Liaise with clients and architects to develop existing relationships
- Attend and survey sites, liaising with install teams
- Execute project planning and management of labor
- Report to the Design Manager and Director
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in architectural metalwork design, sheet metalwork or joinery design
- Previous experience in Vertical Transportation (Lifts & Escalators) industry would be beneficial, but training can be provided for the right candidate
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Fusion360
- Strong design sensibility and ability to translate concept design into a buildable project
- Ability to self-manage and work within a team
Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm (Friday finish at 4:30pm), 44-hour week paid for 45 hours

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
