About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Childcare Lawyer to join our Case Management legal team at Coventry City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting Coventry Children's Services to achieve the best outcomes for children in our city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of childcare cases and advise on all aspects of Child Protection and Safeguarding law.
  • Work as part of a friendly and supportive team that handles public law childcare and adoption proceedings on behalf of Coventry Children's Service.
  • Provide quality legal services and manage a caseload of public law children's cases through the court process.
  • Collaborate with a team of in-house advocates and legal officers to ensure effective case management and advocacy.
Requirements

We are looking for a Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with experience or an interest in advising children's safeguarding matters. You will be a culturally competent individual who champions diversity and inclusion, and is committed to delivering excellent services to our residents.
