About the Role:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Learning Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in Dagenham. As a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs in a multi-form entry school
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education and develop creative strategies to engage pupils
  • Utilize strong behavior management skills to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Organize and create resources to support teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective teamwork and support
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, and behavioral and emotional difficulties

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Strong behavior management skills and ability to work with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Good Maths, English, and ICT skills
  • Experience working with pupils in intervention groups and supporting subjects such as Maths and Literacy
