A rapidly expanding agricultural enterprise is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to enhance their financial operations.
This is a part-time position, offering flexibility with either three days a week or reduced hours spread over five days. The salary is competitive, pro-rated from £35,000 to £38,000 based on full-time equivalency.
Role Overview:
This newly established position is designed to assist the leadership team in financial decision-making, preparation of internal financial statements, and active participation in financial, operational, and strategic planning to ensure the organization operates smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations utilizing the company's QuickBooks software.
- Allocate costs to various departments and projects to evaluate weekly Work-in-Progress and profitability.
- Prepare month-end accruals, prepayments, and depreciation to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting, including management accounts and variance analysis.
- Support the leadership team in managing the company's cash flow and overseeing all bank accounts, including credit cards.
- Oversee credit control processes.
- Generate weekly supplier payment reports.
- Ensure accuracy in the purchase ledger at the end of each period, addressing any queries promptly.
- Complete and submit VAT returns accurately.
- Coordinate payroll submissions with the payroll provider for all staff remuneration.
- Reconcile and accurately post all company credit card transactions and staff expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage and reconcile petty cash effectively.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Registers to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards.
- Assist in reviewing the company's insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage and manage claims as necessary.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure capital expenditure projects are well-defined, delivered on schedule, and within budget.
