Position: Senior Site Engineer

Sector: Highways and Civil Engineering

A degree-qualified Senior Site Engineer is required to join a leading Civil Engineering Main Contractor in the South West region.

This contractor operates across various sectors, including Highways, Rail, Construction, and Build, with regional offices in Plymouth, Exeter, and Bristol.

Typical projects involve roads and sewers, foundations, infrastructure, major housing developments, and Highways.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage project-based teams of engineers on various projects;
  2. Understand and operate robotic surveying equipment;
  3. Ensure that works are constructed in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and Project Execution Plans;
  4. Develop and implement Method Statements and Risk Assessments;

Key Requirements for the Role:

  1. Hold a minimum of a HNC/Degree or equivalent, and possess a Full UK Driving Licence;
  2. Proven people and project management skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, client representatives, and the general public;
  3. Experience working on civil engineering projects and managing teams;

This contractor undertakes some of the UK's most iconic projects and has an excellent reputation in the South West, currently working on projects such as Hinckley Point C.
