About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to lead our production team in achieving exceptional quality and efficiency. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for implementing production systems, processes, and disciplines to ensure best use of resources and on-time delivery of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement industry-leading manufacturing practices covering all manufacturing, finishing, assembly, packing, and shipping functions.
- Develop and maintain rigorous quality assurance standards to ensure delivery of exceptional products and services.
- Lead, train, motivate, and support the team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including process improvements and problem resolution.
- Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve planning, processes, systems, and ultimately customer satisfaction.
- Budget and cost control.
- Schedule production and assembly activities and outcomes to comply with QA and OTIF requirements.
- Minimum five years of proven success in a similar production management role.
- Strong emotional intelligence and a very good leader of people and change management.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
- Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications.
- Deep understanding of production processes and related quality management systems.
- Formal production management qualification or training essential (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Working knowledge of relevant software tools incl MES, MPS, MRP.
- Strong skills in cost control.
- Experience at working on the shop floor.
- Displays a can-do attitude.
- Is a team player & builder, believes in the success of the team as opposed to individual ambition.
- Biased to seeking improvement and driving the necessary change.
- Communicates with candour and displays resilience towards the purpose.
- Excellent problem-solving mindset.
- Rigorous attention to detail, highly organized individual.
- Customer orientated, internal and external.
- Motivated, energetic, and focussed individual.
- Able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team.
- Strong communicator with a desire for innovation and transformation.
- Related technical capacity from metal manufacturing or engineering industry.
