Histologist - Microscopy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Histologist to join our team at Atlantis Medical Ltd.

This role involves performing routine histopathology laboratory tasks, with a focus on microtomy sectioning and staining. The successful candidate will have experience in histopathology laboratory procedures, particularly in microtomy and staining.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will also be familiar with Leica Spectra staining systems and have previous experience in a similar role within a busy laboratory environment.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £22 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in cellular pathology.

About This Role:

• Perform routine histopathology laboratory tasks with a focus on microtomy sectioning (standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores).
• Carry out routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra.
• Ensure quality control and maintain high standards in specimen processing.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and laboratory protocols.

What You Need:

• Relevant qualifications in Histology or Cellular Pathology.
• Experience in histopathology laboratory procedures, particularly in microtomy and staining.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols meticulously.
