Job Title: Band 6/7 Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Colorectal Cancer team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care for patients and their families, delivering our service standards and actively improving the way we work.

This is a developmental role, with the opportunity to progress from a Band 6 to a Band 7 role, providing autonomous nurse-led services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient-focused programmes of care, addressing the complex health and well-being needs of patients in your caseload.
  • Work with other professional groups to develop and maintain holistic services for people with cancer.
  • Contribute to the development of the team and the service, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work.
Person Specification:
  • Registered Nurse with a 1st degree or equivalent experience.
  • Specialist academic study in the area of colorectal cancer.
  • Relevant post-registration experience in cancer or a related specialty.
  • Experience in facilitation, teaching, and assessing.
  • Understanding of audit and research.
